Let Food Be Your Medicine : a Dinner & Discussion

$50.00

Saturday, June 16th at 6:30pm > 8:30pm ~ at The Legacy Barn

This dinner has been created in order to share with you the important new research, as well as the ancient wisdom, which reinforces the fact that FOOD IS OUR MEDICINE.

Organic farmer & researcher Tom Szulist along with community herbalist Kristin Grohman are joining forces to offer you an evening of stimulating conversation and an absolutely delicious HEALTHY evening meal.

We will talk about how the plants and animals of this earth have co-created so many amazing and powerful alliances that we humans are only now discovering the true depths of life connections. Also, how ancient native wisdom has been in good relationship with the foods that help us thrive.

Mindful eating practices begin long before a seat at the table!
Through an intricate web of interconnection and reciprocity, food arrives on one's plate. Shami Kanjo Grohman will discuss mindful eating and awareness of the benefit of joined efforts.
Herbalist Kristin Grohman of Reciprocal Roots will explain the role of Plants as Medicine in our meals. Through an understanding of simple phytochemistry, we can identify which herbs act as medicine for specific needs.

Tickets are $50 each and there will be just 40 seats available - book now!

You are welcome to bring your own wine or beer to enjoy with your meal, and other non-alcoholic refreshment will be supplied.
